Virtual Premise Delivers a Secure Information Environment
Security: Multiple Layers for Enhanced Protection
Physical Security — Our servers are hosted at an ISO9000 2001 certified co-location facility, which is subject to an annual SAS 70 type II audit report. The facility provides comprehensive and multi-faceted physical security, power redundancy and backup, state-of-the-art fire suppression systems and modern heating/ventilations/air conditioning (HVAC). Designed to meet all the necessary requirements for a secure physical environment, this facility provides highly controlled access requiring three-factor authentication and 24/7/365 closed circuit digital video monitoring.
Network Security — All publicly accessible servers are protected by redundant firewalls, which provide access to only those protocols explicitly required. Your data is further protected behind a second layer of redundant firewalls as added protection against unauthorized access to data. The servers are protected using a network-wide intrusion detection system and are subjected to regular penetration testing. In addition, Virtual Premise has network and host intrusion detection systems that monitor activity, issue alerts and shut down servers when anything suspicious is detected. As part of its process, Virtual Premise:
- Performs regular penetration testing and daily firewall log reviews to identify potential security threats
- Processes high security updates immediately, while applying all other updates during a monthly change control process.
Application Security — To ensure you only have access to your company data, Virtual Premise stores customer data on dedicated databases. As a further security measure, Virtual Premise scans all application code for vulnerability to the ever-evolving universe of hacking exploits. Virtual Premise also offers Single Sign On (SSO) authentication support, which gives you the ability to access your Virtual Premise solution simply by signing on to your corporate network, decreases the threat of identity theft and phishing attacks, and provides you a single point of control for access to all user applications. Virtual Premise also supports Secure Sockets Layers (SSL) encryption for web servers and web browsers, enabling secure communications.
