Platform
The Virtual Premise platform of services
The Virtual Premise Application has been designed such that client implementations typically are configurations of The Virtual Premise Global Real Estate Management System™ for their specific needs.
The Virtual Premise Application is comprised of a platform of services that are combined to support the functional activities necessary to the Corporate Real Estate Group. These services include:
The diagram below details the platform of Virtual Premise and its support of the Editions available:

Dynamic Forms
The core of the Virtual Premise application, dynamic forms allow the extension of the application through custom configuration of what information is tracked for on an object level, how that information is entered and accessed, and how it relates to other objects within the system. This technology allows clients to mirror relationships from their business processes in Virtual Premise.
Reporting
Virtual Premise utilizes various tools to simplify reporting, including an Ad Hoc engine which allows users to create reports and set criteria based off of datasets which are designed specifically for them, custom reports which require more complex viewing and analysis of data, embedded reports which can be displayed in the application and exported reports which can be manipulated in other applications.
Dashboards
Dashboards are designed to provide users with the information needed to make accurate and timely decisions. They target not just executives, but all information managers or workers and provide them with data views relevant to their particular needs. Dashboards through Virtual Premise are designed to easily show Key Performance Indicators, eliminate information silos by aggregating information from multiple sources and enabling data exploration.
Document Generation
Document Generation allows users to have data stored in the application to be used in artifacts produced with the familiar tools of the Microsoft Office Suite, Word and Excel specifically. The goal of this functionality is to allow continual use of familiar tools while still integrating and taking advantage of the application. To this end, Word and Excel templates can easily be designed using Microsoft Word or Excel.
Notifications
Notifications are for many clients one of the most crucial parts of the system. These are system generated messages to which users subscribe so that pertinent information is pushed to them rather than requiring logging into the system. Notifications are either event driven or scheduled and users can subscribe to either or both. There are a variety of formats for notifications which can be as simple as a text message or as complicated as a custom report. These can come as events occur or be summarized into a nightly summary of all of the day’s activities.
Security
Security is one of the most important services within the application. It is a very complex system which allows clients to limit or reveal data exactly as they deem necessary. Users can assign security by role, users, groups, navigation and even down to the field, or object level.
Workflow
Virtual Premise contains two types of workflow engines; one is task and event driven and one is status and data driven. Each support the notion of control, compliance and accountability through the application.
Offline Content Editing
Offline Content Editing allows users to copy data stored in Virtual Premise to a local (offline) location, modify and edit that data and then upload the edited or resulting data changes back into Virtual Premise. This allows users to manipulate data stored in Virtual Premise using familiar tools (i.e. Microsoft Excel) and complicated and/or proprietary calculations.
Document Management
Users have the ability to store documents with any major object (building, lease, premise, project etc…) in the system and allow users to quickly navigate to and open these files. The benefits of this function is that it allows for central storage of files which keeps files synchronized and makes sure that all users have the most recent version.
All of these services are combined within the framework of the application to meet the specific needs of our clients, whether that represents a functional capability that Virtual Premise allows users to perform, such as portfolio management, or from an industry-specific view such as a Retail-focused, comprehensive solution.
Flexibility, thus, is not an empty promise of Virtual Premise, but the very nature of the application.
